Created out of love and friendship
Ed Janiak and Rich Foard are turning what was once just a conversation – and a dream – into a reality. Ed and Rich are excited to start this new venture together combining their strong and diverse skill set to provide the New Freedom community with quality, delicious craft beer.

Located in the historic railroad village of New Freedom, Pennsylvania ,you will be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the friendly, modern taproom along with live music and delicious food. While the saying goes, “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” at the Vortex, we say “it's always 6:59” because time stands still and the fun never ends. "a month ago I was happy to finally check out the newest brewery to the area. Nice variety on tap from lagers to ipas to stouts. As well as hard seltzers, so there's honestly something for everyone. Their Czech Pilsner is spot on. I really enjoyed that. And their Pennsy Pale Ale is quite good, too. I love the atmosphere there."

"First time here after checking out some trains. Had a few brews, all fantastic. Also had one of the house made pizzas. The Meat Pizza was delicious! House made red sauce, pepperoni, pulled pork, ham, sausage, and smoked top round. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is really laid back. Definitely recommend and I'll be back for sure!"

A session New England Pale Ale, softened with oats, Columbus and Mosaic hops in the whirlpool and dry-hopped with juicy Citra hops make for a pleasurable drinking experience.

ABV: 6.4%
A full bodied, full flavored NEIPA, softened with oats and loaded with Columbus and Mosaic hops in the whirlpool and dry-hopped with copious amounts of Citra and Citra-Cryo.
Keeper KOLSCH
kOLSCH
ABV: 5.1%
Premium Pilsner malt, Oats and Spring Barley, along with a kiss of Tettnang Hops in the boil and dry-hopped to make a highly drinkable Kolsch in the Cologne style.
